First off why are you turning the Gain up?

GAIN IS NOT A VOLUME KNOB!!!!!!!!!!
Gain is to be set to Match the Line Voltage of the Incoming Signal.

If you dont know how to do that let me know and I will walk you through it when I get home

(currently in a Hotel 1700+ miles from home, Flying back Sunday for 1 week for R&R, THANK GOD:lol:)

sounds like you have a wiring problem with your subs. dont use a gain knob. most amps send the signal through the "phone line" and back through regualting the signal at the knob, you loose sq. your ground could be too long or your fuse could be too far from the battery. It sounds weird but it happened to me. there are many causes for that humming.
