I'm looking for a small (half din) eq/line driver. Does anyone know if this soundstream is a line driver also? Any info or suggestions would be great. Trying to stay around 80 or under for a decent piece. Will be hooking up to a 5 channel amp.

the sound stream says a max output voltage of 8v. that tells me its a line driver.
the hifonics is too, with 9v out.

you can also look into a clarion model.

I just got the soundstream as it was a good deal. I did notice that on the box it says input voltage range 2~6 volts (I did not know this before I bought it). My head unit manual says line-out level 1V. Is this going to make a difference? Will I still be able to use the eq?

It's an older jvc. KS-FX200 or 210. I have both for my two vehicles. I like the 12 disc changer they control.
