Im not very car experienced but i have a 1986 Vette and i want to put nice sound system in it. Can someone recommend a sound package for it? I dont want anything over the top but something of good quality.

It doesn't need a billion features as all ill use is an AUX input.

You can put in anything you would like. Shop around and have fun. Does your ride have the Bose system in it? If it does I would recommend replacing all the speakers and removing all the Bose amps while your at it.

If thats not an option right now, then replace just the Head Unit with the radio of your choice. Do NOT cut your factory wires, use the correct harness. The correct number should be 70-1677-1 or 70-1858, I'm not sure what year it switched numbers.

My personal favorite HU right now is Alpine. Its a nice simple radio.

Thats a pretty nice Vette. We used to have an 84 and now we have a 93 1nd 94. the 93 has a double din Clarion touchscreen integrated into the factory Bose. My pa is happy with it.
