Hi guys, I've just bought and installed this head-unit, which I'm thoroughly impressed with. My only question about it is the BUS audio input, on the back.

Now, I've constantly got an mp3 player in the car and would love to wire it up through this back input, to hide all the wires and whatnot. Only problem is that I can't select that audio input manually. Because I don't have a CD changer, I'm assuming that this option only becomes available if you've also got a BUS control input also, but I can't test this, obviously.

Do any of you knowledgeable folk know of a way that I can get the unit to select this? (pretty strange that it isn't available as an extra input, if you ask me)

    Thanks.

not sure about the sony, but my pioneer wouldnt go into that sub menu until something with a bus plug was in it. i.e xm tuner or ipod. now i did have a bus to rca adapter for it then i got the extra aux in.

maybe sony has something similar? look on their site under accessories.

yeah, that's what someone else has just suggested too... I'm starting to regret this purchase, tbh, even though I didn't even know that the rear input was there, when I bought it (because absolutely nowhere did it say that it was!). thing is, I bought it from argos, which has a 16 day 'no quibble' money back guarantee, so if I find a suitable alternative, I'll happily return it.

new question, can someone suggest a stereo that plays mp3 CDs, will keep the steering wheel controls (one of the main reasons I bought this one) and has a rear auxiliary audio input. I'm assuming that a lot of them actually do, but just a lot of websites don't display that they do. irritating. I don't care about bluetooth, USB or even front input, I wouldn't mind front input, but the others are essential, it is not.

all suggestions will be certainly taken on board, thanks again.
