I'm not lazy, cause if I knew what I was doin I wouldn't be askin for help.. lol I have 2 300 watt rms subs and an 800 watt amp.. I need some box advice, like how big, weather it should be ported, vented, or sealed. I want a vented box, but if it would sound better some other way, i can deal.. 2 boxes or one sould help too.. SO if someone could give me some advice, or even better give me a few complete designs for what would sound best would be great.. Size is nothing to worry about.. it's goin in tha back of a van with tha back seat out.. lol PLENTY of room.. Thanks guys..
call the maker of the subs and see what they recommend for that particular sub, then go from there. Sealed boxes will usually have a nice sound and go pretty deep, ported boxes if made right will be louder and also sound very nice but usually peak at the frequency that it is tuned at. They are harder to build and get right. Are you building the box yourself?
Maximum Sealed Box Volume 0.75 cubic feet Minimum Ported Box Volume 1.45 cubic feet Those are the mesurements I got.. Yeah I'm building it myself.. jus not 100% sure the exact measurements I'll be needing...
