alright I have tried 2 understand the whole ohms Sh*t. Now can some 1 put in better words. wat r they wat do they do ?????????
Ohm's Law http://www.the12volt.com/ohm/ohmslaw.asp Well as for wiring... There's parallel, series, and series/parallel. Not much about it except wiring different ways changes the impedances. Someone else here will further enlighten you on wiring.
Just to put it in simple terms, think of a fire hose, its big and flows a lot of water that would be like running a 1 ohm load. It has almost no resistance, just like a large hose will put through a lot of water. Now think of a small garden hose, that would be like an 8 ohm load, quite a bit of resistance. Neither is better or worse its just a measurement of how much resistance you speakers voice coils are going to present to your amp. You have to make sure you purchase the right amp to the right speaker. There are a lot of amps that will not run at 2 or 1 ohms bridged, at least not for very long. In that case you need to purchase a high current amp. and of course there are a ton of speakers out there that can be wired differently to show your amp a different ohm load.
