I was wandering if theres or whats the difference in performance between using slot or tube ports? iv been constructing some boxes and stuck on what to do for ports. i was thinking the slots dont interfear with air spacing .

a port is a port...volume is taken up.

I don't know what you are talking about.

A speaker does not "know" if the port is round, rectangular, triangle, whether there is one or two

it would be easier to achieve more port area with a slot port and thats about it.

not really easier to get more port area...just easier to design and build rather than buying and constructing all of the bends for a round port.

well what i'm saying is that depending on the height of your box two 4" ports would have less port area and take up as much area on the side or front of the enclosure as a slot port. or i could just be talking out my ass but do i make a valid point?
