    Hello,
I currently have an Alpine CDA-9886 deck installed in my ’04 Grand Cherokee. I am interested in hooking up my Sirius Sportster 3 to it. (currently installed in my work van.) Other than the FM Radio transmitter, what type of setup could I use to somehow hardwire the sound to my headunit? Thanks guys.

Is your Alpine satellite ready, if so you can purchase the Alpine tuner that connects right to your headunit. If that does not work you will need something that has an aux input, in my car I used the JL Audio cleansweep to hhok up my sat radio, I have the XM Roady.

Thank you for you're quick response.

I beleive the headunit is Satellite ready. Would that tuner require a second subscription? I already have an activated Sportster 3 for my work van, and would like to just be able to swap that unit between 2 cars (with 2 car kits of course) so I can only pay for 1 subscription.

The tuner I am referring to does not move from car to car as it connects to the back of the head unit and usually mounted under the dash. How do you have it hooked up in your other car? I guess you could use a cassette adapter if you have one in your car, just wire it up to a power source and use the adapter and it will play through cassette player, but the sound quality is really awful.

does the alpine have an aux in? if so use a headphone to headphone jack.
