I have a 2006 Cadillac CTS and I want to upgrade the stereo. I want to keep the stock head unit and upgrade everything else. On my previous GM vehicle I used the PAC converters to tap into the system and run my amps/speakers. I have been reading several boards and have heard that the JL cleansweep can be used to get a better signal (vs. the PAC stuff). I also heard the Audio Control LC6 will work and this is 1/2 the price as the JL. I was just wondering what the difference between the JL and the AC unit is? I am not planning on building a competition system but I would like it to sound good.

I will be running CDT 51A (5 1/4") components up front, Infinity 5 1/4" 2-ways for rear (will run these off the head unit), and a Kicker 10" sub. Will be running them with a Phoenix Gold Tantrum 600.

Well my stereo install is underway. The shop doing the work sold out on LC6's so they are upgrading me to a LC8 for no extra charge. I should have it back by tomorrow afternoon. Can't wait to see what it sounds like.
