The wife is complaining about the size of the box in the FJ.my new encloseurs are19.8 wide x16 high x8.75 deep x two all internal dimensions. 1.6 cu ft per 10.I want to use a 4"x17" round port for each box,out the side wall just above the wheel well shelves.Should I use 90's and have the ports end flush with the front baffle board or is it ok to vent straight off the side. The shelves are 10" above the floor free air up to the roof and back to the rear door

i wouldn't really vent off the side. will your subs be facing up or rear firing? i would put the port/vent on the same side as the subs.

If you cant get it on the same face as the subs, you can put it on the sides.

The box is rear fire. The sides will be 6" higher then the wheel wells.I'm trying to keep every possible cu in of volume I can.How important is it to have the ports terminate flush with the baffle board.I can do it, but it might look a little strange:huh:the ports will be external
