why don't you just get a new amp. i'm sure you can get something new at that price to push your JL's. I have nothing against an old school amp but if your deck doesn't have a lot of crossover features you bass may be all over the place. nice thing about newer amps is that they have built in crossovers that you can adjust

The only thing that I didnt like about this amp is its rated power is at 14.5 volts and has an unregulated power supply. But you subs dont need a ton of power so it may be a good choice. I have not seen one in real life so i cant tell you how it sounds.
look into sae-1000d. Db-r.com usually has refurbs going for 360. Just a tad bit more that you were looking to spend.
