Setup

    to me the word custom seems useless if basically anything you do to a car should be considered custom lol. anyways, soon i'll be adding a sub/amp package to my car, which setup would be better, getting a ported box (probable sub would be the JL12W6's and any amp around 200-500watt range) and just leaving it in the trunk on top of the floormat or should everything be under the floormat (where the spare tire is) and plexiglass the top?

    im just curious as to which one would give quality sound..one, both or neither? any helpful suggestions would be nice

    To me, the best way to go for SQ is too have the woofer and port fire directly into the cabin of the vehicle with NO obstructions, this will help eliminate standing waves, peaky output at different frequencies, phase ing issues and yield a far better attack, or transient response (its a phsyco acoustic thing)....just my experienced opinion.......
