I'm not sure where this should go, cause it's more of a sub accesory question.. but I'm sure a moderator can put it where it needs to go.. lol I jus need to know what tha rubber rings that go under subs are called.. I've called audio stores and they don't have a clue what I'm talkin about when I try to describe it.. And if someone comes across some online, some links would be great.. Thanks guys..
are you talking about gaskets that go around the edge of the sub to make it airtight, if thats the case you can go to the hardware store and but some weather stripping and cut it to the size that you need.
Yeah that's what I'm talkin about.. If it comes down to it I'll do that, thanks for the advice, but i'd still like to know how to get the ones made for the subs.. Jus a lil more professional looking, you know?
Usually the company will put them in the box when they are new, or some companies (ppi) will put like a rubber or plastic ring on the woofer itself that never comes off. Im not sure if mtx sends them out with their subs, so to be honest id just go to the hardware store and buy some. Its really cheap and easy to work with. Are your subs leaking air?
yeah a lil bit whey I screw em down.. but only cause I use only homemade boxes and I can't quite seem to get tha hole measurement right sometimes.. i'm usually only centimeters off, but it's still enough for tha air to escape.. And I'm tired of gettin sillicon on my subs...
