rods for geo

    Holy crap...
    Was that a Civic rod?
    Looks like it melted, how odd!
    Or was that a rod from the original GN motor when you got it?

    Impressive, whichever!

    You should turn it into a clock... bolt the rod cap back on it with the clock where the crank went... :lol:

    No... remember the other day we were talking about liquid getting into the cylinder? I told you I had just torn down a 3.8l Ford Windstar engine that got about 1/4 cup of coolant in the cylinder? I believe we were discussing a leaking injector on your Civic. Anyways, that is the rod from the Ford, no heat just the after affects of an attempt to compress liquid ;) .

    I do have the piston/rod assy from the Nat at work (I used it as an ashtray). All that is left of it is about 2 inches of rod and a damaged piston. I can take a shot of that monday, including the damage to the piston when it hit the head. You think that bent rod is amazing... wait till you see the rod from the Nat!!!
