Here is the deal. I have a P18S8 (8" 8ohm SVC) that I bought several years ago off Ebay. I didn't realize it was an 8ohm when I bought it. I want to put it my KIA Sportage soft top since it is so easy to break into.

It's rated at 150w RMS 300w peak. What wattage of an amp do I need to use to power the sub? Here is what I have available.

    Kicker ZX200.2 200w bridged 4 ohm stable.
    Kicker KX250.2 250w bridged 4 ohm stable.

I'm not looking for thumping base obviously but good sound.

    Punch 8

Either one of those amps will work. 8 Ohm sub will only make the amp run easier, cooler, probably distort less. If you got another 8 ohm 8 inch punch, you could wire them parallel bridged to 4 ohm, probably sound real nice. That one should sound good on the 250 wrms amp. Probably hit harder than your expecting. Bridge it!!!

    8 inch punch

what kind of box do you have the 8 in? I have heard 8's sound quite impressive in ported boxes. If saving space sealed is the way to go.
