Ring terminal/battery

    "rubber seal" what do you mean? a boot over the terminal or something actually on the bolt?

    If its a boot over the terminal, cut it off, or slide the wire/terminal through where the factory wire goes.

    A boot. It's put there for a reason to prevent arcing if anything metal comes near it. Maybe I'll go to Pep Boys and get some advice.

    those rubber boots usually end up in the trash. You don't need it if you're careful about using tools near the battery. You can fabricate a new, larger one to cover the ring terminal, if you want to.. I just modified the one I already had..

    Thanks for the advice. I could probably find a more suitable one on the net or Pep Boys.
