How would I use a stock head unit to trigger the remote turn on? The vehicle is a 2008 chevy k1500 pickup with the stock head unit. Does the HU have a remote turn on lead or maybe a power antenna turn on lead? I don't have a repair manual so I cant see the wire diagrams to tell if it does or where the wires are etc. Does anyone have this info or know where I could find it?

sure can, there are a couple ways to do it. you can run off the ignitions on/or run/or A.C.C., depending on how/when you want it to run. or you can set up a 12V toggle switch. some stock cars do have a remote... but only two that I've seen, so iam not going to say that all don't. also if the car comes with a sub/amp combo. but yours doesn't lol.

No, you do not have a remote turn on lead that you can use. But I'm gonna give you one more option. Truck-LOC by PAC Audio. I has the ability to provide you with a remote lead that goes on and off with the radio

Thanks for the info. Do you guys know if there is a power antenna turn on built into the HU or harness?
