Radio static/noice

    I have 2000 Chrysler that the radio stopped working a few weeks back. Cassette player will play and sound is heard. Radio has lots of static and sometime its will play a tune. Buttons work to change the display, but the station never changes. Also have 10 CD installed in the trunk.

    Any thoughts before I purchase a new radio?

    Maybe it just went out....get a new HU and you will notice a big difference is sound quality.

    Yup... although tuners are some of the most reliable electronic devices made, they too are subject to "frying", just like any other form of electronics. Probably can be fixed, but you were looking for a good reason to buy a new one anyway, right?:cool:
