My buddy has 2 q power 10s just laying around his house. Hes wanting me to build him a box. I cant find any specs so im just guessing with these. I was thinking between 3-3.5 cubic ft total so around 1.75 cubic ft per sub and tune it to around 33Hz. He wants some good lows but wants to hear high notes also. What do yall think about the size? I aint worried about the measurements bc i can get them myself. Thanks Jared

That size sounds OK as long as you divide the Box (as you said you would in you post). But size has more to do with how low a woofer hits than tuning. So I might recommend a 3 cu ft box and no divider. This would give you additional size and you will get that low "hit" you want regardless of tuning.

Also with out specs we won't know how it performs in a ported enclosure, so to be on the safe side tune low.

So a 3 cubic ft box, with no divider, port on the end still on the same face as the subs, tuned to around 31Hz would b good?

Not sure if I would go that low on the tuning, but it won't hurt anything tuning that low. Personally I would go 35 if you wanna tune low. But absolutely nothing wrong with 31. Not having specs on the woofer, your lower number might be a better idea.

Its always best to have the port on the same face as the woofer

Ok, yea my buddy likes lows but he wants some highs to. I may try 33Hz then maybe extend the port and make it 30-31 Hz to see which he likes better. Ill post pics. It should be done wednesday or thursday

Well he was trying to finish wiring his truck while i built the box, but his power wire wasnt long enough. Hes gona get it finished and hook them up tomorrow. Im hoping it sounds good. The subs are good subs. They have a rms of 600 and a 1200 watt max. Ill let yall how they sound tomorrow.

Well we got the truck wired up and the subs hooked up. Man they sound good and drop hellacious lows. They are running off a crossfire vr600d at 2 ohms rite now. Tomorrow, i think he is gona bridge the amp and make them louder. i think my next setup is going to be 4 10s in my wall with 2 2000 watt amps.

He wants to put them on a meter just to be curious. They sound really good and his windows flex some for just having 2 10s. Since ive heard his 2 10s, i want 4 10s now.
