Proper Supplies needed to install indash monitor!! help

does anybody know everything that is needed to properly install an alpine iva-d310? do i just need one wiring harness or two? and where is the best place to put the "brain" of my unit since i have a 2 door honda civic 2001. would it be best under my seat? is installing a indash monitor just like installing a reg CD player head unit?
