alright, a brief summary to people who are new to the site and does not know me, alright I am a Peformance engine builder who co-owns his own buisness with his father, called ROMAR performance and tuning.now i also have 15 Ford Mustangs in the garge that i own, one of them i race in a OUTLAW class, now last year i ran low 10's with a 351w with 2 garrett 60mm turbos and put out 879hp. so my goal is i wanted to get mid 7's, and over the winter i pulled the ol' 351 and built up a 460 from SVO-special vehicle operations and bored to 500ci and threw it in with 4 cam heads and a garrett 108mm turbo pushing 40psi and all new suspension components, so as of Monday morning we had finally got everything put together and it was time to start it up and see if it ran, so we turned it over a couple of times to pump the gas through and it finally came to life, the thing was so loud and heart pumping it felt like you were having sex with some crazy hot chick. so we through dealer plates on it and took it for a quick spin around town, i tried to get my girlfriend to come but she didnt want to, so one of my brothers came along and we were off, pulling out of the shop the thing had looped around and faced the otherway, i got this thing to go from 0 to 140 in a blink of an eye and then we came back to the shop an threw it on the dyno to see what kinda numbers she would pull. FIRST RUN: 1437hp at 6500rpm, HOLY S##T!!! then did some tuning SECOND RUN: 1679hp at 6500rpm and thats as best as its gonna get, so we all had a huge A$$ celebration and this weekend were going to the track to see how well it does...Im feeling low 7's is gonna come easy. low 10s to 7s is a whole new ballgame man. I am very impressed. Super happy for you guys. I know it takes a ton of work just get .1 faster when you start getting down there in that range. Just make sure all your safety equipment is all up to par because the faster that sucker goes the less room you have for any error driver or mechanical on the track. Awesome news though man. That must be a massive turbo lol. Biggest ive ever had the pleasure to deal with is about a 20g mitsu and that prolly looks like a damn soda can next to yours lol. Using nitrous at all to get rid of lag? or does that 500ci not even worry about it?
i will get pics up and yes the car passed saftey emissions test with a fire suppresion system as well
alright i ran the track this weekend and i got it 7.564 SECONDS! holy s##t was it fast too 171 mph and was worth the trouble we went thru to make it possible
so this weekend i put a 200 shot stage 2 direct port nitrous and man that thing brought and it ran HIGH 6's...DAMN thats what im talkin about i got a nice vid. and more pics i will upload
