Power wire gauge?

I have a single 4 gauge wire from the battery. I am adding an amp to power a sub. I purchased a power distribution block. It will accept the 4 gauge in, but the two terminals going out are not large enough for 4 gauge.

Question: Am I supposed to drop down to (2) 8 gauge wires to power the two amps? Or should I take the block back and get one that has 4 gauge in and (2) 4 gauge coming out?

    Thanks.

Umm, which amps? If the amps accept 4 gauge wire i would take that distribution block back and get one with 4 gauge in and 4 gauge out. Unless the amps are only like 100 watts each. More power equals more power lol.

unless your running thousands of watts then a short run of 8 gauge should work for your amp/s.

i have the same set up 4 in 8 out.my amps dont mind.
