i have 4 12's in 2 different boxes made to the exact porportion that kicker designed but a guy from an audio said that its not good to port 12's do u think it would be louder than my 147Db that i have now?
It would sound like complete A$$ if you just cut holes and ported your exhisting boxes....ported boxes need more internal airspace...meaning you need to have new boxes built and correctly tuned
will give you about 3 dB more. IF done right.......... why should you not port 12 inch subs? are they not portable? what about 10 inchers? should they not be ported too? I second Vikings statement about this box builder being a complete idiot and that he sucks on donkey dick...and only builds boxes to the "recommended size"
yea the speakers can be ported no problem he just told me that they dont like to be ported and dont sound as good as they do in sealed boxes
