First) I have 4 tweeters and 4 mids and 4 channel amp and 4 channels from hu. What should I wire to the hu and what to the amp?
Second) I have a sony xm-504z amp 500 watt max and 50x4 at 4ohm and has hpf(80hz) beside the front channels and lpf(80hz) beside the back channels (note: the back 2 channels can be bridged into one channel) and underneath the hpf and lpf is a on off switch and a gain knob that has levels 6,4,2,1,0.5,and 0.3v (6 being all the way counter clock and 0.3 being all the way clock wise)what does this mean? And after I hook witch ever speakers to were ever (hu/amp) what should the gains be set at? Note I will be using mb quart fka116 and fka216 (not sue about the fka on the 216)

I would run the entire system off the amp. set the highpass to 80Hz. Run all your highs (mids and tweets) off the amp front channels. Rely upon the tweets passive x-overs for the right signal to them. As for any subs.....tis them into the rear channels and set the x-over for 80 on down.

As for gain settings.... turn the volume up on your HU about 3/4...then set the switches to about the point where the signal sounds loud, but not distorted or clipping...

    I hope that helps

Well I figured the x over hook up thing out. These speakers are 2 way component so the tweeter and mid hook to the same x over and then hook to one channel witch is kind of a problem hence there is only 50 watts put out on each channel on my amp and I'm hooking 2 speakers to one channel. So do I need a bigger amp? Hook two channels to the input on the x over?Or will the sony xplode xm-504z do the job?
