am well grounded, both on the amp and receiver, receiver is grounded directly to chasis, and so is the amp, now my problem is that every time i turn off the head lights i hear a static thump through my speakers, even with the amp off, once the amp comes on it amplified a little what can this be, it also does it randomly thought the day.

Your catching cross chatter from something., the 'thump' you hear is voltage going through your lines. this is typically caused by a bad ground or bad wiring, but because you say everything is grounded well and correctly, it brings up another issue. on your HU, you said its grounded to the chasis, did you not have a black wire lead from the stock tail to the stock unit? do you hear the thump on all speakers? if so try grounding through the black wire from the stock run... get back at me.
