Hi guys, I'm a totaly newbie who just got a Clarion NX409 for my car (let me add that my car has a factory amplifier I am running through in addition to the internal amps). I did all the wiring today, soldered it, then plugged the unit it to make sure it works. Turns out the radio plays fine, but no audio comes out the CD or IPOD connections (even though they appear to be playing). It's strange that the radio audio works, but not the rest right? GPS volume works fine as well. In addition there is a loud "pop" when i turn the volume up from mute... I'm not sure what it is but I'm guessing it has to do with the 2 amps. Additionally the volume is very loud no matter what setting, I'm guessing again this has to do with the 2 amps. Thanks in advance, -Cyrus
you have to use the power antenna or the remote turn on for something. Dam I forget which way it goes. That will fix the iPod and cd problem IIRC. Then I used ground loop isolators for the rcas that go to the factory amps. I had both the same problems when I was tappin into Bose in our vette.
Wow you're good. Those are the two that I did not connect to anything... any ideas what they should be connected to?? Thanks in advance, -Cyrus
Thank you! We connected the remote turn on to the amp (we stupidly used the antenna because the colors matched), now everything works!
cool cool. now get yourself some iso's and you'll be good! http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item...CA+-Price+Good+Only+While+Supplies+Last-.html you could probably find somethin like it at your local shop for cheaper.
