Hey guys, i'm really new to the forums and to the car audio scene all together. I'm only 17 and bought my first car a few months ago, now that I have the cash, I'm goin for the audio..

Iv'e been talking to a guy and he's selling a Planet Audio Z12 12" sub for 80$. mint condition. He will even play it when he comes to show me.

Also, he has a amp for sale. it's a JL Audio e4300 amp 4 channel. (100$)

He is willing to sell me the sub, amp, his custom box for the sub and all the wiring for 240$. Is this a good deal?

The real question is, will this sub work good with this amp?

I am very new to this stuff and have a lot to learn, but I just want to know if this will sound bomb. I want a good system, without paying a FORTUNE. and I want to sound goood

Thanks in advance to everyone who reads and replies to this. :D

That is a baby sub, its a 200w RMS, so its meant for low power, the amp is a 4 chan amp,. more suited for powering components speakers, (mids rear and tweeters) its not really made for subs... i spose it would work... just not well. the sub sells for 84 EUR, so a little more here in the states. that price is new. i wouldnt suggest it...

you could still get that sub to pound decently hard in a properly designed enclosure, you could bridge the rear channels of the JL amp for the sub and run a set of components up front off the front channels.

what kind of car do you have and can you fit 2 12's? I can put together a good sub and amp combo, and it will be new stuff... What is your budget.
