Ive had a pioneer deh8400mp sittin in my garage for the past couple of years. Its been there since it stopped coming on and the faceplate would act like its opening then close without coming on causing me to just rip out my whole system bc of lack of funds being im a college student. Ive read on some forums where you could fix this problem...could anyone point me in the right direction or tell me what it is i need to fix this, im sick of the **** stocker cd in my ranger and want my system back!!!
anybody know what to do? id hate to just buy another HU when this one can be fixed and i did LOVE this cd player...
We are a little slow. There is a ribbon cable that breaks when the face motors open and closed. I've seen many of these break over the years. Typically they would break shortly after the warranty was up. One of Pioneers BAD ideas
Yeah its most definately the ribbon cable. Its not that hard to do. I had the same problem with a Pioneer unit and replaced the ribbon cable and it worked like a charm again.
