Pioneer DEH-P5800MP Satty ready?

    My head unit says that it is sattelite ready but for XM does that mean it is also sattelite ready for sirius. Also if it is sattelite ready for sirius what do i need to buy in order for me to have sattelite radio.

    Yes the Pioneer DEH-P5800 will do XM or Sirius. All you need to buy is the correct tuner (XM or Sirius). I will recommend the pioneer tuners. There are some other tuners the will plug and play with your Pioneer but I have a few problems with them. I have used Terk tuners with the Pioneer and on a couple of installs ran into problems with the Terk interface.

    Never ran into a problem with a Pioneer Tuner yet.
