Pioneer CDXFM35. Need repair info for Frequency modulator CWM2979.

Have Pioneer CDX-FM35 CD changer. All functions work as should.
Does anyone have repair experience with Pioneer?
This is a frequency modulated unit.
Have NO volume to head unit. Head unit works as should as radio or tape player. Can turn up head unit volume to max, W/ FM35 on and set to correct frequency. Can hear CD music (very low),
but no volume.
What component in CWM2979-(frequency control modulator) has gone bad?
Is board component available?

How do I find a replacemrnt O.P.T. I googled the only numbers that are on the component, nothing came back.
There is no name on the part either. The only specs I have is from the manual, Vdc & amp draw for the entire unit.
Help!

Tried OPT replacement.
Still no luck W/ this repair!
Any other knowlege is welcome.
