Philips SC201 lights up but no display

hi, i've got the above radio in a Vauxhall Vectra, however when I turn it on, the radio itself lights up howver there's no display on the dashboard, I've tried all the options like holding down the AS button while switching on but nothing seems to work, I've got the code and serial number but I just cant enter them, has anyone seen this before?
