    what brand subs are they?

We understand that you're on a tight budget but how tight is it? how much are you looking to spend for an amp?

they are MTX's and im on a tight budget but im going to spend as much as i have to. the panasonic was a steal at 140 but if i had to i would prob be willing to spend double. I dont really wana spend more than 400 more and i still need a headunit and to install it

got a link to the subs? I need to see the coil configuration so i can suggest an amp.

If your on a budget you should be looking at power acoustik amps. very good budget amps...

once again im sad to say ur talking to an audio idiot ha i bought the 3 subs in a box and on the back there are two connectors. a black, and red hub for cables/wires about 5/16" in diameter. i looked at that company and they do have some cheap amps and i heard they are loud from a friend. but i dont understand when you use a mono or 4 channel amp. but im assuming you would need a better answer to your initial question ha

also my buddy who gave me these subs was using a kenwood 1000w. is that a legite amp or not? i have a feeling that these subs could hit harder than they did wiht that amp

All i have to say is find out the exact model (supply a link) so i can check their impedance. Then and only then can we pick out an amp for you.

We have to base it on impedance, no. of voice coils and their rated power. Then we have to check how the subs were wired in your present box.

I can't just throw amps at you without knowing this information.

Kenwood makes a good amp btw.

So i think i narrowed it down between the kenwood KAC-8104D and the KAC-9104D. a 1000W or an 1,800W. Because i plan on adding an additional 10". would a 1000W be large enough to power the 4 10"s

500 watts peak power and your going to add another in a seperate box. Id go with the 1800 watt amp cause they are not very efficient at 85 db, you will need the power to push them.
