Ok my car is in the shop getting prepped for paint. Its currently a dark blue and I'm wanting to go either some lighter blue or silver. The color I currently have picked out is called Brilliant Silver Metallic, google it to see what it looks like. Any of you guys have any opinions on what looks good on classic cars? Theres some darker color that I have seen on a newer mustang that looks great but I think it may be to dark.

Here's some older pics of my car for your viewing pleasure

Silver is a very nice color for a classic are. Very clean looking. Just make sure you take good care of the paint because silver tends to die easily and it's a very hard color to match because of that. just keep it waxed at least once a month and you should be good for years...

    is that a '65 or a 64 1/2? same thing? i know the 64 1/2's are classic!

They are all pretty much classics now, but mine's a '65. I suppose silver it is then, my friend suggested it originally with some blue stripes, dunno about the stripes yet but the silver is a definite. Also, matching up won't be an issue as the guy buys extra to have in case of accident or parking lot idiots.

Some blue stripes would look nice, I'm gonna have to ask how much $$ that would cost.

go with the silver.. if you really want to put strips on it blue would look nice also white or black would look good as well...

even if you mix extra paint it may not match depending on how old the paint is. that's the tricky thing about silver.

dont paint it black unless the shop it is at does amazing... really professional like overhaulin bodywork... cause black shows the imperfections really easily... and you dont want to see a wave near the bodyline down the side of your stang.

I wouldn't get them painted on the car, I would go to a sign shop and get it done, it wouldn't be to expensive(my Dad owns a sign shop) just make sure that you go with a 7yr vinyl so it wont really fade.

Hmm, hate to be a heartbreaker but ghost flames will not be going on my car. I personally am not a huge fan of them, especially on classics.
