Hey everybody....have not been here for a while.....I am hoping to be jumping on this truck install soon, so I can finish the damn thing....I have a question.... Currently what I have had in the truck is an old JL Audio 10" sub...It is a dual (6 ohm) voice coil version and it is in a sealed "Q" logic box under the rear seat....('95 Chevy 1500 ext. cab)....Here is the question... I have two of those Elemental Design 8" subs (dual 4 ohm vc).....Would I be better off building an enclosure to put the two 8's in versus the single 10? The amp is a Kenwood class "D" mono amp KAC 9152... Willy
Well, here is the thing.....Maybe others (like Viking and Ranger) who may have done trucks like mine, could tell me if I had the room.....I would think that if half the rear seat was taken up by an enclosure for one 10", that the whole space under the back seat could be used for two 8"..... It is just an idea I am kicking around......The JL always sounded good and it can slide right back into place...I have 4 of these 8's all together....I am gonna build a box for two of them to put in the back of my Delta 88....I already have an Eclipse HU and I bought a Soundstream amp to run those subs......I am hoping to get off my ass this saturday and do a little more on my truck install....I should be shot....I have had components for the truck for more than 3 years..... Willy
wow.i thought that by now you would have finished your install. i'm sure that 2 8's would fit under the seat of your truck.
