    With a box that size you might consider adding a port. That would really wake things up.

    Wanna know how to cover the sides??
    Cut a piece of 1/8-inch fiberboard (or whatever) to match the side of your box. Cover that board. Then attach the board to the side of your box. Its a cheat method I've used many times.

    Hey Skidmarks.....

    That looks like a lot of work. It should work fine, and you might be able to take it in and out of your truck if you need to.
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Now, I don't know how you feel about rear seats in a truck, but for me, personally, I think they are absolutely worthless ! You might be one of the rare guys who uses yours, but I see truck, after truck (crew and extended cabs, after crew and extended cabs) driving around my town, with nobody in the back seats.
    So, here's the big surprise..... I just bought a brand freaking new Ford F150 Supercab ! WHY !?!? Well, because the "extra space" is great. It's the extra seating that's worthless. {also, I could only get the nice stuff like power windows, full carpeting, cruise control, etc, with a Super, or Crew cab. They twisted my arm :)
    So my answer ? A couple months after I bought it, I ripped out those brand new, never sat in rear seats, and trying to sell them right now.
    NOW you wanna' talk about extra space ! :) I'm getting ready to build an enclosure for two 12"s.... but that's only because I'm leaning towards SQ, 'and' because I still want to have quite a bit of in-cab storage space.
    But if I wanted too, I could easily fit four 15"s.... or six 12"s.... pretty much any crazy thing I could imagine.
    Just a thought,
    Peace,
    Fish
    PS, Just understand that if you remove the rear seats your floor under them will be lumpy and humpy, and the back wall will probably be unfinished. I'm going to build a false floor and rear wall, and carpet it, to make everything clean, flat, and nice, before the sub enclosure goes in :)
