well i went and did it again.i got a new sub for the truck. its a 6in bazooka tube.duel 4vc.man this little guy can jam!s/n is 100db! it wont completly replace my kicker.i just needed a small sub for traveling. my trip to VA with no sub sucked balls. i got it at my local pawn shop for 40.00even. the only bad thing is port noise with VERY low bass.anyone know how to shut it up some?too bad its not in a trunk then i may not have heard it.
its mounted side ways port firing torwards the pass side. and yes i can hear it from the drivers seat, but only on really low bass. any suggestions?also i just wedged it between the rear seat and spare tire. for now.
too tall to fire down. will try firing it backwards tomorrow. i have to get to bed soon.have to be at work at 4am.
ok i moved it around and it made a small diffrence.i just have to strap it down now. i'll try a bunch of diff locations too. i dont want it to be very visable at all. maybe right against the tailgate so if anyone looks in through the back window hopefully they wont see it.
Put a little polyfill in the port. How you keep it in there is your problem, but it should work. It will change the port tuning a little, but it should not make a big difference.
thanks i'll give it a shot. on the subject of getting more space with this little guy. i took a day trip with a coworker to a shooting range in ocala.a 120 mile trip, and i carried all the guns/rifles.cause i now had all the room to do it. anyways on the way back my 4ch amp that runs the rears and sub shut down for like 10 min.i hope it was because i had all that stuff on top of it and not that the sub is somehow makeing my amp get hotter for some weird reason. i didnt even have the vol at the level i used to run the kicker.it was somewhat warm today too. i hope that was it.
