ALRIGHT SO HERE IS THE ? I HAVE 2 10" KICKER L5's 4 OHM AND THE AMP I WANNA ADD 2 THESE IS A KENWOOD KAC-9152D Mono channel Power Amplifier with Dual Mono Drive Function RMS Power: 500W x 1 @ 4 ohms RMS Power: 900W x 1 @ 2 ohms RMS Power: 900W x 1 at 1 ohms RMS Power: 900W x 2 at 4 ohms (Dual Mono Drive) Aluminium Die-casting Heat Sink Detachable Aluminium Dress Plate & Top Panel Control Dual Mono Drive (Bridged Connections of KAC-9152D x 2) Gold Plated Input/Output Terminals Single Side Exposure of Terminals for Multi Installation SO WOULD THAT MEAN THAT MY SUBS WOULD HAVE 2 B 4 OHM
how are you wanting to wire these? and what mode are you wanting to run the amp? these are 4ohm dvc subs. if you wire them in parallel, and in parallel to eachother, to the amp on mono mode, you'll be pulling a 1ohm load at (supposedly) 900watts.- kenwoods are a little overrated, but not much. I didn't think that amp was stable at 1 ohm, and also, the subs are rated at 450w max. In this scenario, I think you might find that this will be too much power for the subs, if you cannot control your volume, and if the amp is truly stable at 1 ohm. otherwise, it will work just fine (if it's really 1 ohm stable) you just have to keep the gain at about 65% or so. IDK, am I barking up the wrong tree here fellas?
Yes that amp is 1 ohm stable...The 9102D is not 1 ohm stable...If your subs are dual 4 ohm than wire your subs paralleled and then parallel them to the amp...yes these amps are a little overrated but with my experience with them they are very durable. F*ck the dual mono drive ****...all that is IS two positive terminals and two negative terminals for easier wiring...an mono amp is a mono amp...no dual sh*t about it.
