I had a car receiver installed about a year ago, and now am looking to replace my factory speakers. I am only considering 2-way arrangements for the sake of an easy install. Any comments, information, and especially troubleshooting are welcomed. And thanks in advance for the help.

(concerns: receiver is capable of 18rms will it adequately support my speaker selections, and is it possible to get 80 watts front / 120 watts back)

i would do the infinities due to thier high s/n (93.4 db's)

if you mount those in the back like you posted then they will over power the fronts. because they will get louder with less power. so put them in front and in back. then you can just adjust the fader to compensate.

I really don't think you'll hear much of 30hz tones coming from small component speakers, don't think it's that safe either at high volumes.

no, if u want low frequncies you need subs cause that is their sole purpose.

you might feel the lows near your legs, but hearing 30hz from your doors wont be very loud at all.

like it was said you would need a sub for that.

    Goal

-good clean amp that will last very long (>10 years) at 4x 50 rms 4ohms a channel, crossover included
-front speakers – component set great all round, especially highs
-rear speakers – coaxial, get rear fill feeling (and sharper bass to somewhat counteract sub I will eventually put in)

    New preferred option
