Ok so I have a v-power mono amp by alpine mrp m-200 and a type r alpine 10'' sub. Ive connected all of the power/ground/remote/etc wires and im not getting anything from my sub. There appears to be a little square light on top that would light up when power is at the amp but it doesnt light up.

Any suggestions? How would i check with a multi-meter if power is getting to the amp? ground?
Also I have checked all of the fuses.

The Alpine MRP-M200 has a top-mounted LED power indicator.

There are several multimeter measurements that will permit determination of the problem.

Set the multimeter to measure resistance, ohms. Verify that the resitance from the GND screw terminal on the amp when wired-up is a low resistance, under an ohm.

Set the multimeter to read DC volts. Measure from the GND screw terminal to both the BATTERY and the REMOTE screw terminals on the amp when wired-up are at battery voltage, +12VDC, nominal.

    Here is the manual.
