no display

    I just installed a JVC KD-G800 HU in my taurus sho. I have sound and lights, but no display and the volume control doesnt work. Is the HU trash?

    did you buy the deck new?

    I just did a quick search and it doesn't have very good ratings.. everybody says it's not a very good deck..

    you may want to take the faceplate off and put it back on. sometimes with removable face decks the display is lost but after you take it off and put it on again it will work. you may want to try that.

    maybe the contacts are dirty. like mentioned above.^^^

    Thanks for the info...I got the deck used but free so Im not out anything. How would one go about cleaning the contacts?
