Hi guys...just planning a new system and thought I would post it on here to see what you think....any opinions welcome!!!!

Alpine cda117 with pxa h100 processor
Focal krx3 or Rainbow profi vanadium 3 way components in custom door builds
Focal fps 2160 amp running front components
focal fps 1500 amp (800wrms into 1 ohm)
2 x Jl audio 10w6/12w6 wired to give said 1 ohm.

Questions: what difference would I get in terms of volume between the 10/12" JL's?
SQ is my main concern but with the need to pump it loud occasionally....What about a single 12W7 run off an HD750 Jl amp??
Front component wise...has anyone any opinions on the focal/rainbow dilemma? I have used rainbow 2 way components for my last 2 systems and they have been great but I want to step it up a bit for this new one.

    Regards Matt (uk)

generally speaking the larger the diameter woofer, the louder it will play the lower registers, simply due to cone area, But ALOT of, if not most of the performance derived from a speaker will be dependant on the enclosure. I run one antique 12 inch driver in its "perfect for my needs" box...With 300 watts, and it peforms flawlessly.
