Hi everyone, just signed up. i have a 2000 saturn sl1(4 door sedan)-Daily driver to keep miles off my 5.0 mustang. Im no noob to car stereo's(my mustang has a kenwood amp powering a jl 12w3v2 w/ kenwood headunit-hits good enough but i want more for the saturn(ive installed/helped install prob 4-5 car stereo's) and have had 2 systems stolen right outta my cars in front of my house(xtant amp/another 12w3/clarion HU-yes i cried like a lil girl. i was thinkin a single 15" 2ohm sub(min 750-1000watts rms) powered by a monoblock sub amp in a sealed box. my main ?'s are do i get a 1000w rms amp or higher and a single voice coil or dual voice coil sub(i understand wiring btw). im just looking for 750-1000w and to **** ppl off-Hehe. im prob a year out from actually buying the stuff. all this is pretty confusing to me(all ways has been). ive always been a jl guy but w7's are toooo much. ill prob stick to a $500 budget for the sub/amp/wiring. i just wanna shake **** in a lil inconspicuos saturn. any1 try spl brand.thanks for the help in advance all.

Hmm, lots of options here. How about a 15" DVC 2ohm sub in a vented enclosure powered by a 1ohm stable monoblock amp? Maybe a Sundown Nightshade or RF Power T2?

Thanks for the response. ive never even heard of sundown-but checked their site and seems like good stuff. im not a rf fan same for sony car audio but every single electronic device in my house is sony-go figure(ps3/sony bravio flatscreen/sony dvd/sony vcr/sony handycam). i still have plenty of time to figure it out. i just want something that matches numbers for it to pound-lol-thats all i want to do is p/o ppl(so funny seeing ppl put their windows up in traffic even just w/ the system in my stang and i have a severe addiction to mirror shake-haha.thanks again
