New sub.. Single 18?

    Well somehow I fried my 2 powerplant 15's, so I'm currently using the two Fusion Encounter series 15's.. but they aren't loud enough.. so I was thinking about getting a single 18 for now and just run it off my Fusion amp.. any suggestions for the sub?
    I was thinking about going with Sundown possibly?
    I want all of your opinions.. about the budget I'm not really sure.. my bday is coming up so I'm gonna guess around $200-300..

    I couldn't find a price for those on the site.. do you know how much they are?
    would one of them with 2000rms do good?

    you're problem isn't your sub, your amp is garbage, those amp's can't do sht. i bought one of ebay to play around with once, blew it in 12 seconds flat, they're garbage.

    as far as omph, you're going to get more oomph out of 2 15"s than a single 18", you have way more air being moved with 2 subs than you do one.

    do you have those 15"s in a ported box? ported will give you loud hits, but you'll some response in your sub.

    I'd take that 300$ and get a nicer amp ;) i'm a rahter big fan of alpine, and they're tech support is ace should anything go wrong :)

    his amp is fine. He blew his subs. He was happier with them ones. It ain't the amp. Go wit a nightshade dude. That'll be crazy man!

    Well the amp actually impressed me.. It's not bad at all, it's 2000 rms is at 2ohm and is clean power and has a very low distortion rate, if I got the 18 I'd wire it at 1ohm.

    But I'm also considering just getting my two PowerPlant's reconed for around $200 so I might go that route depending on the price of the NightShade..
