new speaker system

    soo im replacing my system cause i just gotta sub and it honestly over powers the speakers i have now haha but i have the after market mach speakers for my 2004 mustang 6x8 but im think bout putting these on http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_22628_Rockford-Fosgate-R1682.html and these as my tweeters http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_22627_Rockford-Fosgate-PRIME-R1T-S.html

    i was just wondering if ima need any extra parts for instaling them like somone told me i might need an amp? or extra wire? thanks

    what type of amp should i be using?? and how would i wire this ? i have the speakers and i put them in inteasd of the old ones and im getting no sound at all

    sounds like u hooked something up wrong maybe...

    i literally took the old ones out and put the new ones in the wiring alredy had the thing on it and alredy put new holders on for the speaker still no sound comming out what else could i have done wrong?

    hmmm... i know those have factory amps and some times when u put an aftermarket cd player in they wont play sound but urs was working before.. pull ur head unit out far enough that u can hook your speaker wires directly up to it and see if u get sound.. if u do u may need to run all new speaker wires to all the speakers...

    ok im really new to this lol but is there literally just like speaker wire hooked up straight to the hu?? like were would i hook it up? sorry for being dumb

    did u put that in the same time as u put in the after market speakers???

    noo ive had that in there for about a month and no problems at all with it

    well hook up one of ur speakers directly to the back of the head unit.. either the 2 white, grey, green or purple wires are ur speaker out puts...
