new setup frist time in a hatch back

    i have always drove big trucks and suv's i have had a set of l7's in my 1500 for a couple of years it dose ok i have done a one 151.3 on a mic not much but im happy with it well last week we picked up a 93 ford probe gt cheap.so I ordered a l7 15" kicker sub and a kicker zx 1000.1 im using a ported 4.2cf box tuned to i think 36-37hz I have new heard a hatch back how will this setup sound in the probe.i read and hear from people that a hatch back car is alot louder then a ex cab truck but yet all my friends with subs own suv's or trucks.i would like to know if this is ture or not..I was not ever hoping for the one 15 to match the truck but after some more read im starting 2ct guess what it can do..the head uint is a alpine im on sure of the # its a new one I just picked it up for like 205 at best buy ill get the # and update the post any input would be great thanks

    hatchbacks do a lot better than a truck or a SUV would. I've heard the best boom car is a honda CRX. they do score better because of the shape of the car. at least that's what i've heard.

    so would i be safe to think or hope that the car will be as loud as the truck?

    151.3 is just ok for you? wow what are you used too?

    im not saying it isnt loud but it dont hurt any more it use to hear alittle i wish it was in the 160 im thinking off adding two more l7's and another 2500.1 in the truck

    you won't get to 160 by just adding two more subs and another 2500.1

    he's right for that kind of spl (daily)you might have to triple that maybe or quadruple it.

    unless its just a fart box,but it wont sound good with music.

    yes i under stand dual your core and power you add about 3db..I know ill never hit 160 im just saying it would be nice but thats not my ? its how loud will the probe with what will be in it

    ok so a L7 15 on 1000 watts. hmmmm at least mid 40's on a meter easy.

    depending on the box. i have a friend with a solo x 18 with 2400 watts and he barely managed a 141.0 , but his box was to blame. so if your box is good enough it should get nasty loud.

    its on its way it will be in tomarow with my amp..ill have the sub in on the 2ct they got me on shipping so I end up that I get the box and amp before the dam sub
