Hey guys, Been reading through some posts and thought maybe you could help me with some problems of my own. I've bought so much audio equipment over the years but I just don't seem to be good at getting a brilliant sounding install working. So I'll explain my exact setup at the moment to you and maybe you can help me sort things out. I currently have a JVC KD-AVX2 headunit which I just got for Xmas, connected to this are a pair of Vibe Slick 60's (17cm). Connected to the rear output is a 2200watt unbranded amp (you know, the cheap ones off ebay) with two pairs of Vibe Slick 692's (6x9's). I used to have a two subs in the boot but it was just boom boom all the time and I'd rather have a nice sounding system than boom boom so I got rid off them. The system sounds ok atm but the rear 6x9's seem to distort at higher volumes but not the kind of volume I would expect them to distort. I know I should have my front speakers amped aswell but thats why I want you guys to help me. If possible could you suggest a new system for me that will sound decent but also won't cost too much money as I'm a bit short on cash after Xmas. I was thinking maybe for the 6x9's I could buy the FLi Loaded 800 amp and get the FLi Loaded 400 for the fronts. I'm really not sure tbh because I'm not sure whether to just get some decent fronts and just a sub for the rear or buy some better front & rear speakers???? Any help on this situation woudl be great cause I'm getting sick of spending all this money on ICE only to find out it sound ok...... Thanks ^_^
Welcome Devilz!!! Generally speaking, a very nice set of component speakers up front, teamed up with a sub in the rear, with a quality amp would be a good starting point. i am not sure what all brands you have access to over there, but i am sure there are plenty of good ones. what kind of car do you have???? And "subs in the boot".....wha the heck is a boot? Trunk? we are just stupid Americans that dont use them fancy words!!!!! LOL!!!
yeah defenitly upgrade the amp and do you have the rear speakers hooked up to the amp or the head unit? and whats a boot????
