Hi I am looking at this HU: Dual XHD 7714 http://www.amazon.com/Dual-XHD7714-player-Built-Tagging/dp/B001OK24V8/ref=dp_cp_ob_e_title_1 Please advise if there is a better HU available Ideal = HD Radio built in, USB Front and/or rear or SDHC Thanks!
Wow, that is pretty price IMO for a Dual. I've never owned a Dual, but they seem like cheap Taiwan stuff to me. For few bucks more, you can get a quality name brand HU that will be more reliable, more sturdy and sound better. Its your budget, but I would only buy name brand even if I had to give up a feature. If you could live without the BT built in, here are a couple that I'm sure are built much better: http://www.crutchfield.com/p_158GT700HD/Sony-CDX-GT700HD.html?c=3 http://www.crutchfield.com/p_130P5200HD/Pioneer-DEH-P5200HD.html?c=3&tp=5684&tab=features_and_specs I'm not a huge fan of Sony HUs, but they are better than the cheapo companies. (Boss, Dual, Craig) In 25 years of car radios I've owned I've never had a Pioneer let me down. If you can live without HD built in: http://www.crutchfield.com/p_113BT645U/Kenwood-KDC-BT645U.html?c=3&tp=5684&avf=N http://www.crutchfield.com/p_158BT3800U/Sony-MEX-BT3800U.html?c=3&tp=5684&avf=N http://www.amazon.com/JVC-Color-Ill...ef=sr_1_1?s=car&ie=UTF8&qid=1283223409&sr=1-1 IMO HD radio isn't worth the expense and not all markets have HD. I live outside philly and I only know of three major stations that have HD broadcasts. All the above info is just my two cents
You could get a Sony MEX-BT2800 with the optional HD tuner accessory for about $189, but it has no USB.
