Hello, I'm upgrading the standard 1.5 din in my ECSB 01 GMC Sierra to a DD. I'm going to install a Pioneer AVIC-Z120BT nav radio and was looking for some advice for the amp. Im going with duel Alpine SWR-1243D. Using a sealed box under the rear seat from Subthump. I mainly listen to Rock/Metal Any thoughts or suggestions?

Well,I'm curious how much your looking to spend. There are alot of good amps out there that will suffice your needs. The amp linked above will work, but you can spend more or less dependimg on what you want to spend. Here's my choice:

I have a power acoustik amp(not the same one though)and I'm very happy with it.I wanted to get a remote bass control so I emailed the company, and they responded the next day with part #,price, and when I would get it.Very good customer service.

I have a Power Acoustik amp, too, the TS-14402 Plasma Sphere. I think the display on the amp is pretty kick-ass, although it's in my closet right now since I'm using a different amp that replaced it when the output transistors blew. I fixed it, but only tested it since and haven't installed it other than the week or so I tested it for. It puts out around 700W RMS @ 2ohm. I am pretty happy with it since I only paid a little over a $100 for it.

Thank you for the suggestions. That is the write up I was looking at when I do my conversion. Im wanting to add to the system. In other words I dont want the bass to overpower everything.

This would probably make those speakers hum:

LOL. It probably is museum worthy. I got this back in 1989 I think. This is probably going in my wifes car.
