New Box I just built

Well just built a new box for my brothers 12 incher last night...it is an ABC box.

Main chamber is about 2.7 cu ft tuned to around 30 Hz and the second chamber is about 1.3 cu ft tuned to about 42Hz...using 4 inch round ports

This was my first ABC box I've ever built....took my time and took me about 8 hours including making a couple trips to the hardware store.

Now for the LISTENING tests...to compare I had the sub in a 1 cu ft sealed box for the past couple weeks while I found time to build this new box.

The sealed box is only a little bit tighter but hardly noticeable at all...the ABC box DESTROYS the sealed box in every way. I couldn't believe how loud, low, and tight this box sounds...for one 12 inch sub and a Power Acoustic PS2-520 pushing 300 rated watts rms to it...this thing is LOUD. The high bass notes are a little bit louder than the sealed box this box is built for the lows...which it does the job really well

Just about an hour ago I was outside in my garage showing my brother how it sounds...my garage is not connected to my house and is made of cinder blocks with some kind of big stones on the outside...my house is made of stone...well my dad called me telling he could hear the bass from his bedroom which is prolly 50 feet away from the garage.

With the doors closed, windows up, and trunk closed...the bass rattles the garage door and outside underhang.

I was gonna take some pictures of it with my girlfriends camera but her friend was borrowing it...i was ****ed....BUT I do have a couple pictures on my phone if someone can find a away to post them online I can send them to em.

 

Well I modeled each chamber in WinISD so I am sure the tunings are right.

Each vent is 4 inches in diameter and about 11 inches long.

Ok...guys I went to her friend Katies house (I'm good friends with Katies sister) and picked up the camera.

I have pictures and a video of my temporary setup and pics and videos of my brothers system.

My brothers box is not fully finished yet...its still bare wood and needs to be sanded down and finished with either carpet or bedliner.

I'll have the stuff posted up later tonight when I go over to my gf's house and load em up

By the way I tried to get a couple videos up that I took with the GF's camera but yahoo wouldn't mail them to myself

After living 16 years in a small house on a corner with no driveway and not much of a yard....my parents found our new house and took it...it is still in the city and is about 5 acres of land....Before I moved I worked on my car out in the street in front of my house...I'm glad we moved though

Also need to deaden the trunk lid...the thing rattles like CRAZY.

The ABC box was rattling my garage door like it was nothing with the Camry SEALED UP....doors shut, windows up, trunk closed

 

I just really wish I had the camera during so I could get a picture of the box with the lid off cuz it looked soo badass....damnit lol
