new amp is wack

    i just installed my new amp its a alpine PDX-1.1000 and wired both w6v2 subs at 4ohms but when i put the volume up bass cuts off and than ill go back on its it the amp not strong or could it be my fuses i got a 80a agu under the hood and 80 agu in the back to the amp

    how many amps do you have? just the one? you alpine has a total of 80amp fuses so if you're only using the 1 amp then that should be ok. you may want to recheck your connections (power, ground etc.)

    i have 2 a jl audio 300/4 and the alpine pdx1.1000 and i just noticed its the amp that turns off when is to loud the light on it turns off i dont think they make anything bigger in agu fuses so what can i use in the front?

    I'd use at least an 120amp fuse under the hood. that should do the trick. if they don't have anything bigger than 80amp then just buy a new holder and use an ANL fuse and holder.

    ok thanks cccullen are the ANl fuse holders any good? or which one should i get?

    got new anl fuse holders under the hood and in the back and the amp stopped turning off thanks 4 the help at first i just bought the front one came home and my base turnned of it had melted the fuse holder in the back so i went back to the sound shop and they put anl fuse holder in the back to i guess the agu fuse holder i had sucked
